To my friends in Washington and around the World: My organizational reassignment could not give me the continuing responsibility to represent my institution to ICMS and NCCCP. It was my pleasure to assist their development from the 1974 and 1977 beginnings. Today every organization needs a continuity of professional museum security growth. Every one of you is remembered with a great smile. These organizations have international synergy to continue to support this work. Use them to continue elevating your technique and standards. Assist those nearby organizations which cannot afford the price of travel. Your conference papers are vital education and the record of museum security achievement. Let my continuing critical medical condition be your reminder to make the most of what you have from ICMS and NCCCP now. The ICMS and NCCCP museum and library are material repositories of our world's understanding of past and present, for an improved present and future. We will always be pleased to serve. David Liston
